Another point to consider is the limited range on the menu for those seeking more adventurous or international flavors. Some diners may find the offerings lean towards traditional British cuisine, which could feel repetitive for those looking for diversity in their meals. However, the steadfast appeal of home-style food resonates with many locals.
Great selection of fresh made food, fast and friendly service at a really reasonable price for the portion sizes and quality!
Great little cafe great food very good service very clean would recommend this to anyone
Firstly, now called Deja Vu If you are looking for a friendly, local cafe that serves traditional British food this ticks the box. Had the sausage and mash in Yorkshire pudding. Drenched in gravy (which was a plus) good quality sausages, a decent portion of peas and mash with a Yorkshire pud that filled the whole bowl. Decent value, friendly staff, will visit again.
Had the daily special: for under £8 you get home made meat pie, peas, mash and gravy + hot pud with custard. Pot of tea £2. Excellent service and food. Toilet spotless. Very popular cafe! Think it's got a new name now? (Deja Vu?)
Nice basic food. I had ham and mushroom omelette with salad followed by Apple pie and custard, 2 black coffees with cream. The staff were friendly and efficient when dealing with me. Child friendly with high chairs available. Toilet facility's on site. Can recommend this cafe
We've been to this lovely café many times and please Google, it's no longer called Rosso - it's been DEJA VU for some months now - at least a year. As a Guide I've reported the name change several times but nothing's happened. Anyway, to review: a great small town cafe with tasty mains and desserts, also a good selection of cakes. The daily special is great value (we particularly like Thursday: beef stew and mash followed by a fruit crumble and custard).
I am a local boy and have had the great pleasure of dining at this wonderful establishment, all food is fresh prepared, staff cheerful and friendly, atmosphere warm and inviting, finally the food is perfect, highly recommend the tonka breakfast for a great feast, 5 stars
